Advisory Activities

	April 25, 2007: PCD President O. Sami Saydjari testified before the United States House of Representatives Subcommittee on Emerging Threats, Cybersecurity, and Science and Technology on the subject of Addressing the Nation's Cybersecurity Challenges: Reducing Vulnerabilities Requires Strategic Investment and Immediate Action.
	September 2003: We provided copies of our letter to the President and our review of the President's draft National Strategy for Cyberspace to senate staffers.
	July 22, 2003: PCD member Shankar Sastry offered testimony before congress on areas for investment in cybersecurity research and development, priority areas for funding, and the role of university-industry-venture-government partnerships in bringing secure and trusted systems to the market place.
	November 14, 2002: We briefed the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board (PCIPB) on our concerns.
	November 2, 2002: We submitted the official PCD statement on the President's strategy for formal feedback.
	September 18, 2002: We reviewed and commented on the President's draft National Strategy for Cyberspace.
	February 27, 2002: We sent a letter to President George W. Bush warning that the "critical infrastructure of the United States, including electrical power, finance, telecommunications, health care, transportation, water, defense and the Internet, is highly vulnerable to cyber attack."

Public Awareness Activities and Articles

	December 06, 2007: Time Magazine published an article entitled, Enemies at The Firewall, citing Chinese hackers as breaking into high security computers. PCD member O. Sami Saydjari was interviewed in this piece.
	November 1-2, 2007: The PCD sponsored a conference on Cyber Deterrence in Tysons Corner, VA. PCD member Richard A. Clarke gave the keynote luncheon speech. Also speaking were O. Sami Saydjari and Robert Gourley.
	September 26, 2007: ABC World News Tonight aired a piece on Cyber War, citing China as attacking US government computers. PCD members O. Sami Saydjari and Richard Clarke were interviewed in this piece.
	September 26, 2007: CNN aired a piece on Hacking the Power Supply, citing a DHS funded exercise in which a cyber attack caused a power control system replica at Idaho National Lab to self destruct. PCD member Joe Weiss was interviewed in this piece.
	April 28, 2007: O. Sami Saydjari was interviewed by a reporter in the article, Experts: US vulnerable to major cyberattacks.
	March 11, 2005: O. Sami Saydjari was interviewed by Fox News' Neal Cavuto.
	March 11, 2005: The Washington Post interviewed two PCD members in their article, Hackers Target U.S. Power Grid.

	November 3, 2003: Time Magazine published an article discussing the cyber threat. PCD member Sal Stolfo is featured.
	September 9, 2003: The Pittsburg Post-Gazette discussed our letter to the President in their article, Cybersecurity expert warns of post-9/11 vulnerability.
	August 16, 2003: PCD member Roy Maxion was interviewed by the Pittsburg Post-Gazette on the Northeast power blackout.
